 Safeguarding Pledge Summary

CSAP Pledge Badge 2026

At the Lancashire CSAP Learning Conference 2026, we commit to strengthening our collective approach to safeguarding by working openly, collaboratively, and with professional curiosity.

We pledge to share information promptly, communicate effectively, and support one another in recognising and responding to risk.

We will actively engage in partnership working, attending key discussions, raising and escalating concerns, and contributing to shared decision‑making.

While recognising varying capacities across organisations, we commit to being transparent, staying engaged, and keeping safeguarding at the centre of all we do.

Together, we uphold our shared responsibility to ensure people at risk receive coordinated, timely, and safe support across Lancashire.

 Post Conference Feedback

It was the best training of this type he had been on in 20 years - Nigel Laycocks (Consultant Paediatrician)

"on behalf of the National Panel want to thank you and the Lancashire Safeguarding Partnership for our invitation to both listen and speak. It was a very informative  and impactive day right from the outset in how you used the child's voice to open up the conference . We got a real sense of partnership collaboration as well as strong sense of  commitment in using reviews to continually improve safeguarding practices . We know putting on conferences like this are difficult but so important- you should be very proud of the work you are leading on in Lancashire".Ian Critchley QPM (Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel  & College of Policing/ NPCC Public Protection Implementation Lead)

"The event was the best safeguarding conference I have ever been to over a long long career. Still thinking about it today"- Helen Watson (Independent Scrutineer).

"The event today was superb – thank you. Your team did a great job and it was good to reflect on some very complex issues. Thanks for the invite and we look forward to being involved again". - Jonathan Smart (His Majesty’s Inspector, Regional Director, North West and North East, Yorkshire and Humber)
