When a child shares information that raises safeguarding concerns, it is essential that the adult receiving the disclosure responds appropriately, confidently, and in the child's best interests.
This Level 2 safeguarding course provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively when a child discloses concerns. It explores how to listen actively, communicate in a supportive and non-leading manner, understand the boundaries of questioning, and recognise when and how concerns should be reported and escalated in line with safeguarding procedures.
By completing this course, learners will gain a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities in handling safeguarding disclosures, helping to ensure that children feel heard, supported, and protected.
