Female Genital Mutilation

Over 100,000 women in the UK between the ages of 15 and 50 are living with female genital mutilation or FGM. The devastating effects of this brutal practice can follow those who survive throughout their lives – physically, emotionally, and psychologically. In this course we will look at the different types of FGM, why it happens, the impact on individuals and societies, and how professionals can prevent it happening, and support those affected.

This course is available at any time.
