Care Act introduction and Overview

This course looks at the various duties of local authorities to provide information and advice in relation to The Care Act, as well as what type of information and advice should be available, as well as providing information that meets an individual’s specific needs.

Objectives:

• Understand the basics of the Care Act, the history of the Care Act and why it came into law
• Be aware of the Wellbeing Principle and how it is used within the Care Act
• Understand the local authorities’ duties and responsibilities
