Understanding Radicalisation and Extremism

We are pleased to offer two specialist training sessions designed to strengthen awareness and safeguarding practice around radicalisation and extremism. These one‑hour sessions will provide participants with up‑to‑date insights, practical knowledge, and clear guidance on referral pathways.

What the session will cover

  • Types of extremism and terrorism
  • Current trends and emerging threats
  • New and developing groups to be aware of
  • Routes and risk factors in the radicalisation process
  • Referral processes and the Channel programme from a multi‑agency perspective
