Self Neglect Framework – Launch Event

Significant work has been done over the over the last 12 months by the Safeguarding Partnership to refresh the documents and resources on Self Neglect and Hoarding.

 We have established a framework which includes the legal remit of self-neglect which has been agreed across all three Safeguarding Adult Boards in Lancashire, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool which can be found here

 For Lancashire we have also developed a toolkit which is part of a dedicated page and is here Self Neglect Toolkit which includes information about self-neglect vs hoarding, flowchart for managing support, useful contacts, risk assessment templates and hoarding guidance.

Event Details:

We would like to invite frontline practitioners and managers involved with supporting vulnerable adults in Lancashire (LCC footprint) to the launch event to find out more.

The event will cover:

• The new self-neglect framework
• Supporting Toolkit
• Shared best practice
• Multi-agency models to support reducing risk or escalation against barriers faced

Date: 27th November 2025

Venue: County Hall, Preston (face to face event)

Timing : 10.00 to 1.30pm
